Sharing Small Things

hello…I am still here.

I have been a bit quiet here on my art blog, and I apologize for that. It’s been a year of doing things slowly and in smaller increments. But there are big changes ahead, and so that slow creative way into 2025 was just what I needed. I took a 6 month break in painting. I just didn’t have the energy for it at the end of the year. 2024 took a lot out of me.

In September of this year, it will be 20 years since I started making mixed media art. And I started small…with ATCs, which are Artist Trading Cards. I loved them so much, I made a lot of them! Now, these two decades later, I am finding myself back into a gentle rhythm of creating. I joined the 100 day project, and I created 100 of these little art cards, they are the size of a regular playing card (2.5 x 3.5 inches).

I am using prints of my drawings and paintings as the focal point, and adding in collage, a painted background, and sometimes text. I absolutely LOVE these little cards! They are like revisiting dear friends, this “cast of characters” that I have created over the years, are dear to my heart. You may see familiar faces here too!

I have now made a little shop, right here on my website, and I am offering all of these cards. Free shipping in the US. I have a few international stamps, so if you are overseas, let me know, and I might be able to send a few to you. Would you like to see the little art shop?

I hope you find something you like there.

I will be back soon, to share a few more things with you.

Take care and have a lovely rest of the month!
