New Art

It’s the end of a very long year

It’s been a doozy of a year, on so many levels. There have been deep losses and challenges, and yet through it all, I have tried to keep up my art practice. Why? Because art making, whether it’s just scribbling in a journal, playing with watercolors, or painting to sell pieces…art is a beautiful distraction. The creative process is a way to engage my hands, my mind, my heart, all at the same time. This year, even though I struggled, it has seemed like a gift.

I have put together an end of year video, sharing many of the things completed this year. While 2024 was a year that was very very hard emotionally, and very stressful…it’s a joy to look back and see what I was able to create in spite of it. And when I see it all together like this, I cannot help but smile, and feel so grateful that I have creativity in my life. What a gift!

I hope you enjoy the video, as much as I enjoyed gathering these pieces to share with you. Thank you so much for your support this year! See you in 2025!
