Welcome to Spring!

Hello!!! It’s 2026 AND it’s Spring!
It has been a while since I have updated my blog, and it was time. The reason for my lag, is that my husband and I moved from the town we have lived in for most of our lives, to a smaller town about five hours away, and near the ocean.
To say the last 11 months has been a bit crazy…would be an understatement. I am glad to be on the other side of it, and as of two weeks ago, we sold our home up north…where we had lived for almost 30 years. It was bittersweet really, as it was hard to leave our friends, and family, and the gardens we made together. But our neighbors’ daughter bought our home, and we have known her since she was 7 years old…so to see her buy her first home, OUR home, was just wonderful. She’s already loving it, and that makes us happy.

So, we are still in the middle of trying to organize, and get “settled”, though I know that will be a while, and I am being patient with myself. We are minutes away from this view, so I have a lot to be grateful for.

The garden here is much larger, but was very neglected. We brought bulbs with us, and cuttings and seeds, and have been busy trying to bring this space back to life. Working in a garden is very therapeutic.

We live in a different growing zone, and it is shadier here, so learning what this garden needs, has been interesting.

But there are quite a few established camellia’s here, that are just beautiful!
As far as my art goes, there has been a lot of drawing happening, especially when I have needed to unwind and relax.

I have moved my art studio into the bottom floor of this home. It used to be a one car garage, that was converted into an office space, about ten years after this home was built. And it is perfect for an art space!

I have already started on a new abstract series. You know how painting colorful pieces makes me happy. And this was all about the love of color and playing with brushstrokes.

I am still working on these new pieces, and I am excited to see how they will end up!
But in the meantime, I have opened my online shop again! And I am also running a sale for the next week, from now until Monday, April 6th, all 25 original and colorful paintings are 25% off.
