This portrait was almost never painted. I actually started it, because I had acrylic paint left on my palette from working on the previous John Singer Sargent inspired portrait. Not wanting to waste it, I decided to start a new portrait, and I am so glad I did! I am loving this detour into darker colors. And I love that pop of red!
