I am still enamored with the colors and peacefulness of waterlilies. In the past 12 months, I have done only about eight paintings of waterlilies. I am still exploring their shapes, the contrasting colors, and how to keep them fresh and in my own style. Of course, Monet was the master of waterlilies, and I feel like his student, decades later, learning from his brushstrokes, his color decisions…and I’m learning by doing. And enjoying every minute of it.
