Ten New Colorful Paintings
Hello December!
It has been three weeks since my last blog post, and I am back again to share the rest of my newest pieces. There are 10 all together in this little “art showcase” of mine, and in the last four weeks, I have finished them, varnished them, photographed them, and put them online in the ArtcyLucyShop.com
I had such fun creating these pieces, all full of color, dancing brushstrokes, and all inspired by my love of the garden and music!
The new art that I am sharing today, is included in the 25% off sale going on in my online shop until Sunday, December 10th.
These pieces are so personal to me, they are expressions of what I am feeling, and I hope that they resonate with you too!
Moonlight and Memories – 11 x 14 inch acrylic on cradled wood panel. The sides of this one are painted black. Price was $160.00, sale price is $120.00
Vivaldi’s Violin – 12 x 12 inch acrylic on stretched canvas (SOLD)

What a wonderful collection of abstract art Roberta. I love how you have titled them by song titles. Each one is lively and vibrant feeling.
I always thought anyone could do abstract, but how wrong I was. I have been dabbling in it and it is very difficult. There are so many different types of abstract art, I am still trying to find my artistic voice.
Roberta what made you switch from painting your girls to abstract?
I recently took a course with Kasia Clarke on making collage papers on wet strength tissue paper. The papers are translucent ànd lovely to work with.
Another course I enjoyed was with Catherine Rains called Collage Keepsake where she teaches you how to make 6 different items to give as hints or sell with collage. Loved her course, it is filled with so much information.
Wherever my art leads me, I know collage will be included in it.
On January 4th I have my last cancer treatment, it has been a hard last year but I am feeling stronger every day.
Our grandaughter is getting married on New Year’s Eve so we have that to look forward to.
It has been decades since hubby and I have been out welcoming in the new year.
Looking forward to getting all dolled up.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Look forward to seeing the latest art projects your working on.
Keep shining
Dianne
Hi Dianne! It is so nice to hear from you! It sounds like you are staying busy with your creativity and that is a wonderful thing! Collage was my first love, when I came back to art as an adult and it will always have a special place in my heart! You are so right, abstract is not as easy as we think it is 😉 But I think the reason I love it, is that it’s not as precise as doing portraits, and you can react to what is on the canvas or board…with texture, lines, colors. I find it so much more exciting and expressive than portraits. We will see where these abstracts take me next year! So glad to hear your last cancer treatment is so close! I know it has been an incredibly hard year for you, and to see your zest for life, and art, even amid the hard stuff, really inspired me. We will definitely keep in touch next year! You keep shining too, my friend ❤️
