Hello friends. It has been a little while since I posted here. I had a very deep loss this past summer, I lost my dad. I am still processing the huge void that it has caused in our lives, and going through a whole gamut of emotions daily. I know I am not the only one dealing with heavy loss right now. And my heart goes out to you too.

One thing that has really helped me to deal with my grief is turning to art, for calmness and peace, though honestly my emotions were all over the place. For those of you who have been through this before, you know it is not an easy process…to gather courage and peace, when you feel very little of that at the moment. 

I have spent the last ten weeks in an online art class…this was such a gift for me, as I didn’t know at the time I signed up for it, how deeply I would need art, and a motivation to make it. In the midst of the class, and in the middle of having my hands in paint… I found moments of joy and calm. I have always known that art makes me happy, but it really made an impact on me recently.
