Summer Dreaming – 8 x 10 inch acrylic and collage on Ampersand gessobord  

I am still enjoying my Let’s Face It 2017 class. Every week there is a new teacher with videos, incorporating either new techniques or showing how to tackle difficult angles. This week we learned more about “looking down” which can be a VERY tough angle to paint! I did quite a few drawings before attempting this portrait. I incorporated collage in this painting, in her beautiful top. This was paper I purchased years ago because I loved it so much, and I was happy to be able to use it for this painting!
