I took a short break from painting, after making those six large portraits to show at the beauty salon. But I came back recharged and ready to paint again…with a lot of color! The idea for this portrait, came initially from a pen sketch I did last year. I then digitally altered it with the Dreamscope app, and loved how it added lines, shapes and colors to a monochromatic pen drawing. I took the digitally altered photo, and used it as my inspiration for this portrait.
I love the overflow of color in this one, almost like color is blooming all around her. This painting is available in my Etsy shop, ArtcyLucy.
