New Art

Painting for Friends and Family

Ten years ago, I found myself in a small art gallery, looking at an art piece on the wall that said “mixed media”. I came home to find out more about this so-called Mixed Media art…and from there, grew a love of art and painting that I had never had before. I started making small playing card size collages with materials I had, then I went into larger collages, digital collages, assemblages, journal pages, and finally into acrylic painting. All that, in ten years.

So, if you would have told me ten years ago, that I would be painting and selling my art…I probably would not have believed it.  It’s a privilege to be able to paint for people I’ve never met, but also very special for me to be able to use my ever growing skill as a painter, to make art for my family and friends.

It is a wonderful thing to make art for the people I care about.  I am happy to say that these are all in their new homes now, from a few miles down the road, to halfway across the world.
