While I am not really on a trip this month, my heart, and even my easel, have been in Sweden…thanks to The Virtual Paintout Blog and Bill Guffey, and the mighty group of international painters that virtually travel the world, looking for Google Maps street views to paint.
The Red Farmhouse in Sweden – 6 x 6 inch acrylic on Ampersand gessobord
If you head over to the Google Maps image, you will see I amped up the color quite a bit. And I “zoomed in” to the view. I love the layers here…the rough and ready sky, the land, the farmhouse, the water, the fields…just layers of color and texture!
I painted two more landscape views of Sweden…those will be coming up soon!
“The Red Farmhouse in Sweden” is now available in the online art shop.

Very nice! I love the pop of red from the farmhouse.
Thank you, Janet! I thoroughly enjoyed painting those pops of red 🙂
