Camera Shy – 6 x 8 inch acrylic painting on heavyweight mixed media paper  (SOLD, thank you!)

I don’t often paint animals, but I couldn’t pass up a chance to paint an owl. This was part of the Daily Paintworks challenge for the week, the “Who Are You” Owl challenge. Take a look at the entries so far…so different and unique!  The reference image of this owl is centered…but I thought how fun it would be to paint him slightly off centered, like he was uncomfortable getting his photo taken. You never know, they may not be as mean as they look. Maybe, just maybe…they are just camera shy.
