Alone on the Beach – 6 x 6 inch acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord  

This is another Google Maps “street view” of Greece. It is a coastal town called Pefkochori.  I loved this simple image, of a lone boat on the beach. There is something so calming about the colors in the horizon…and the slight lean of that tiny boat. I’ve been thinking a lot about escaping to the ocean lately…so, that could be why I am so taken with these map images. If I can’t be there…the next best thing, is painting them!
