Le Chapeau a Fleurs – 5 x 7 inch acrylic painting on Ampersand Gessobord (SOLD, Thank you!)
I am still enjoying the use of wild colors inspired by Henri Matisse. I like the contrast of the vibrant colors with the serene look of the lady in the portrait. Of course, ladies with hats are some of my favorite subjects to paint! I painted this one with two other paintings beside it…the Matisse portrait that I posted yesterday, as well as another colorful portrait that I will show you tomorrow.
This painting has now been varnished and will be available tomorrow in my online art shop, ArtcyLucy. My Pinterest art board can be found here.
Thank you, Nancy! Your comments mean so much. I am loving the colors of this one too…it is teaching me to get a bit more bold in my color choices, like Matisse!
Sheila, thanks so much for taking the time to comment on my painting! I do admit, I love this one, very much…it is so much looser than I am used to, and I am loving it.
This is really beautiful. I love the colors and your paintings style.
