look up in the sky
…it’s a plane…it’s a bird…
Nope…it’s a lot of brightly colored hot air balloons!
When I saw my friend’s photographs of these hot air balloons, I knew I had to paint them! Of course, I took sections of her photos, and decided what I was going to compose into these two paintings, and then I took liberties with the colors and designs. That’s half the fun of being an artist…combining reality with imagination. And this is what came forth…
“Six in the Sky” – acrylic painting on 10 x 10 inch stretched canvas (SOLD, thank you!)
“Looking Up” – acrylic painting on 10 x 10 inch stretched canvas. The sides of the canvases have been painted a deeper blue, so there is no need for framing.
You can’t help but be happy when you gaze at all this color! This was a nice stretch from portraits and landscapes this month!
Both of these are now available in my online art gallery.
