Charles Bridge x 2
Last year, we visited Prague, in one of the coldest winters they ever had. The air was crisp and very chilly (18 degrees Fahrenheit), and I was wearing many layers of clothes, scarves, hooded jackets, boots… just so we could wander around this amazing city. The sides of the Vltava river had frozen, and there were even ice skaters out there, gliding on top of solid water amid boats stuck in the harbor. It was so beautiful!
Every day in the city, we would gaze over THIS scene…the river, reflections, and Charles Bridge. If I lived in Prague, I would never tire of this view.
Prague in Blue – 11 x 14 inch acrylic painting on stretched canvas
When I painted this view of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, it took me back to those wintry days in that medieval city.
“Prague in Blue” is now available in my Etsy shop.
