Here is Neema, Imani, and Zoya…each with such beautiful skin tones. I had such a great time painting these, learning so much from my portrait painting class, and having fun experimenting with a different paint palette.

Imani – 5 x 7 inch acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord
Zoya – 5 x 7 inch acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord
The class I am taking this year, is called Let’s Face It 2017, and the teachers have been fantastic. Last week, our teacher was Annie Hamman, who lives in Africa. She shared a few reference photos of beautiful Zimbabwean women that she knew. It was so nice to work from these photos (for the paintings of Imani and Zoya).
I have already started another set of portraits, and hope to have them completed soon.
