Water Blossoms – 9 x 12 inch acrylic on cradled wood panel (SOLD, thank you!)
The sides of the wood panel have been painted a teal green to match the painting.
While yesterday’s water lilies(On a Still Morning)were serene and calming…these I’ve kicked up a notch. It’s more of a water lily carnival. There are bold colors, unexpected brush strokes, scratched in paint, and texture galore. Not to mention, the energetic paint splatters…it’s a wild garden party sort of painting.
It’s a modern take on an old favorite, and I think even Monet would approve.
“Every day I discover more and more beautiful things. It’s enough to drive one mad. I have such a desire to do everything, my head is bursting with it.”
