Another view of Frida
Endurance – A Frida Kahlo Inspired Painting 9 x 12 inch acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord
I’ve been having so much fun with the small paintings of “the many sides of Frida”, I thought I would continue the Frida exploration on a larger surface. I also deepened the background quite a bit, and I love that deep green with the brilliance of the red flowers and her dress. I loved the larger gessobord so much, that I think I need to do larger paintings in the future.
“Endurance” is now in her new home…at my mom’s house. She is also a fan of Frida’s style. Gotta love those roses in her hair!

I am having a little end of year discount special…bundle any five paintings in my shop, for 15% off the entire order, with combined shipping. This special is only until the end of the year, so you may want to take a look.
Besides, Etsy is such a fun place to shop! Here’s a few of my favorite shops…

I really enjoy your daily postings, and portraits. I got the daily painting book, and hope to someday actually finish something! 😉😳
Bobbie, thank you so much for your comment! And for visiting my blog too! I am reading the Daily Painting book by Carol Marine too, and loving it! I would like to try small still life paintings like she does! I can’t paint every day, but the days I can paint, I try to make the most of it, and work on more than one at a time.
