Saskia – 5 x 7 inch acrylic on Ampersand gessobord (SOLD, thank you!)

Here’s the second in the latest series of female portraits I’ve worked on. All three are brunette. The title for this painting came from my recent trip to Amsterdam. Rembrandt’s wife was named Saskia, and I just thought it was very beautiful. This painting has an old world feel to it, so I thought she deserved an old world name.
