Minette – 5 x 7 inch gouache on Ampersand Gessobord (SOLD, thank you!)
This is the second painting in my Matisse inspired project. The class I am taking, brought to light how often Matisse used patterns in his work, and encouraged us to try it too. I am not so patient with small patterns and details, but the loose circles in this piece really do add to the background. And I did have a lot of fun with the colors I used here.
