Eyjafjörður…Iceland. I may not know how to pronounce that fjord, but I certainly had fun painting it!

This was a painting for The Virtual Paintout Blog…where artists from around the world draw, sketch, or paint a different location each month, thanks to Google Maps. I was thrilled when Bill Guffey (the owner of Virtual Paintout) posted that this month we would be wandering around Iceland. I’ve always wanted to go there. When you see picturesque scenes like this, it’s hard not to want to buy a new parka, and a plane ticket, and see them for yourself. But for now, I will have to satisfy myself with virtual travel, and acrylic painting.
