September’s painting #4
“Someone Like Me” – 5 x 7 inch acrylic painting on Ampersand Gessobord
This was not the painting I intended for the fourth one of the month. But I had extra paint on the palette and decided to play around with a portrait…I love to paint faces! I remembered a haircut I saw on an actress, in a PBS production of “The Lady Vanishes” and decided to give my lady here, that cute and sassy haircut. When my husband saw the finished painting, he said, “that’s you!’ Not intentionally me, but I guess there is a bit of a self portrait here. That’s why I named her, “Someone Like Me”.
She’s now available for purchase in my Etsy shop.
i admire your willingness to experiment and your creative curiosity. this is my favorite of your self portraits. thank you for visiting my blog and for your generous comments. it has been fun connecting through art.
