Contemplation – 12 x 12 inch mixed media portrait

This was one of those paintings that was not finished in a day…or even a week. I started it back in April, and then reworked it several times, until I fell in love with it. I love the mixture of colors in this painting, as well as the more impressionistic style that I love to aim for. She reminds me of a heroine in a love story….contemplating her future. Yes, sometimes I can really be a hopeless (or hopeful) romantic.
