To say that August was a challenging month, would be an understatement. With fires looming around us, and through the state, it really took a toll on our nerves…watching the news and hearing of family and friends being evacuated. We are safe for now. And eternally grateful for all the workers on the front line of those fires trying to keep everyone safe!
The air is still heavy with particulates, so we are still staying in this weekend. Though I would love to be in the garden today. On a personally level, I burned my painting hand while cooking three weeks ago. And this week, a wind gust shut the door on my finger (same hand!). So… a challenging month? Yes! But in between the bruising and burn and stress…I painted as much as I could. It really helps keep me calm and steady.
As of today, there are four new paintings in my ArtcyLucy Etsy shop.
A Gathering of Dreams – 11 x 14 inch acrylic on Raymar panel
A Grateful Heart – 11 x 14 inch acrylic on Raymar panel
The Courage You Contain – 11 x 14 inch acrylic on stretched canvas
Somewhere in Between – 8 x 10 inch acrylic on Senso art panel
I LOVED painting these beauties! Sitting in front of the easel with brush in hand is one of my favorite places to be.
