I am really enjoying my study into the masters of the Renaissance, thanks to the online class, Let’s Face It 2018. I have always enjoyed researching artists of the past, and the Renaissance time period is so rich in deep colors and the art of chiaroschuro, contrasting those lights and darks, that I couldn’t help but be smitten. Caravaggio was one of those masters of light and dark, and he and his contemporaries used candlelight in many of their art works. So I had to try too.
