Mercy #2 – 5 x 7 inch acrylic on gessobord (SOLD, thank you!)
I am so happy that I had another chance to paint this little girl’s face. A couple months ago, I painted Mercy, from a photo my sister took in Kenya, of one of her new friends. I loved her sweet look, and I knew I wanted to try painting her again. And she looks quite different from the first one! I think there might be a third in the future…it’s always fun to paint a sweet face!
She went through quite a transformation, and as always I learned a lot from doing a portrait, especially of a child.
