I am really enjoying adding hands to my portraits. I can see it makes an impact, gives a depth of emotion to a portrait.
Never Let Go – 6 x 6 acrylic painting on Ampersand Gessobord (SOLD, thank you!)
Another painting inspired by Oswaldo Guayasamin. In his original portrait, it is a mother holding a child. In this painting, I decided to add a second daughter, with their arms wrapped around each other. This painting came together relatively quickly, and I just LOVE the result. I came pretty close to keeping this one for myself…but I have quite a collection of “favorites” already!
