Another portrait. This one so different than the one I showed you yesterday, yet they were made at the same time. I used a painting by Gustav Klimt as my inspiration for this one. His is quite different, but I loved how he had the model posed. My version, shows her looking directly at the viewer, and I love that about her. It was nice to work with a more pastel color palette, and then punch it up with those dots of red on her dress. I am striving for looser brush strokes, and less of them, to get the story across. It takes nerve to say, “Enough” and put the brush away.
