Sandrine, Mon Ami – 5 x 7 inch acrylic painting on Ampersand art panel
As you can see, I am still trying out more textures and patterns, ala Matisse! It’s making me pay more attention to my backgrounds, not just focusing on the portrait. I am trying to use different color combinations, and different lines… which has been very good for me, to get out of my comfort zone for portraits. I named her Sandrine, for a lovely red headed French lady I met many many years ago.
